Go Ride A Wave

E-mail Print

SurfersEach year, Open Family Australia takes a group of young people down to Victoria's Surf Coast for its annual Go Ride a Wave day.  Young people from a variety of backgrounds and ethnicity, participate in a day which includes surf lessons, sun smart safety and a chance to ride the waves!

Sponsored by Go Ride a Wave in Torquay, the event makes a young group of people feel very special.

"To see the smile on a young person's face as they get up on that surfboard, makes you feel like a million dollars.  Especially if that young person has never had the chance to enjoy the surf before or even for some never seen a beach before!"

Nick, Outreach worker
