Can you forgo a cup of coffee once a week to help buy a homeless young person a meal?
Open Family Australia welcomes workplace giving partners. Workplace giving is a very simple way to show your support for our at-risk and homeless youth while saving you tax. Employees can contribute via their salaries through a weekly, monthly or quarterly donation pre-tax.
From as little as $1 per week, employees can make a difference in a young person's life.
- $1.00 per week will feed a young person lunch for five days
- $2.50 per week will give a homeless person safe accommodation for a night
As a workplace giving partner, you will be sent an e-newsletter quarterly to update everyone in your organisation on Open Family Australia's programs and how your contribution is helping young people get off the streets and back into their communities.
Ask your payroll department today how you can commit some money each pay to Open Family Australia to help provide outreach support and emergency assistance.

Mum and I were fighting all the time and it wasn’t a happy place for me anymore. I had told Mum that one of her relatives had sexually abused me. I don’t know why but she didn’t believe me. I think that is what hurt me the most – I’m her daughter and she is supposed to protect me but when I finally got up the courage to tell her what had been going on, she turned her back on me.

Open Family Australia works in Victoria and NSW, providing Outreach support to young people at risk in these communities.
Assertive Outreach is a model that offers youth focused services to street frequenting young people in the environments where they congregate. This model of providing comprehensive ongoing support in all aspects of a young person’s life, rather than just concentrating on one issue is successful, as it provides the young person with support from a worker who is available for all their needs and who also works to integrate them into mainstream society.
