THE LONGEST NIGHT APPEAL
www.longestnight.com.au
-
Mark is 14 years of age and hasn’t eaten since yesterday morning.
-
Julie is 17 and escaped an abusive home to work on the street. She regularly cuts herself to escape her childhood memories and of what she now does to survive.
-
John is 19 and sleeps on a dirty mattress in an abandoned building in inner Melbourne without a blanket, pillow or heating.
Young people today are often criticised for wanting too much – but for Mark, Julie and John, their want is simple – a safe place, a clean bed and a warm meal.
21 June is Open Family Australia’s Longest Night Appeal and we are asking a simple request – can you and your friends give us $21 on the 21st June to help our homeless and at-risk youth.
The math is simple:
If you give us $21 we can give Mark a warm meal
If you and five friends give us $21 each, we can give John a safe place to sleep
If you and 21 friends give us $21 each, we can give Julie the outreach support she needs
Open Family Australia has been at the forefront of helping homeless and at-risk youth for the last 30 years. We provide critical outreach support that helps them reconnect with their community and move on with their lives.
To continue this work – all we need is a little help from you and your friends. With “a little from a lot” we can make a big difference.
Donating is simple - go to www.longestnight.com.au and donate today. At the same time forward the website to 5 of your friends to help us achieve our goal of 21,000 people donating $21 by June 21.
Thank you
